I think that the ridicule is worse than the event. It’s EXACTLY the same ridicule that I see heaved upon minor protests like #DayWithoutImmigrants. While popular attendance helps spread the message, the message is more important. Even as a Trump critic, I would rather hear the reasons why people would show up for a #March4Trump, rather than critical mockery of anyone who would dare show up.

I’m constantly disappointed by the tireless examples of liberals who stoop down to the lowest common denominator that we were just criticizing the conservatives of stooping to for the past eight years. We should hold ourselves to a higher standard, because there is a higher standard to be held. We must lead by example. So when they hold a protest/rally/march, we should react in the way that we expect them to react to our protests/rallies/marches, and not the way that they treated us. We can be petty, or we can be better. Stooping down to their level only means we lose all credibility when it comes to our own expectations and demands.
