I wish people would stop feeding the Trump mythology. Anytime some white person is caught saying something racist, its posted with “See? Trump’s America!”

Stop. Racism was loud and clear long before Donald J Trump decided to run for President. People arent more racist because of him, they are just making headlines more, because of him.

Our approach to race issues is nothing short of childish pettiness. We are not trying to be smarter, wiser or better about it. We are attacking hate with fear, fear with hate. We are demonizing a human being as if he is a mythological boogie man with magical powers. What we forget is that, like all other celebrities and politicians, his powers comes from us. And we are ignorantly giving him all the power he needs, and then some.

Haters are useful, lucrative tools for the hated. Hating Donald didnt stop his primary victory, nor did it stop his national victory. It wont stop or stumble his presidency. It will likely fuel his momentum for a two-term administration. Republicans hated Obama like no other, and he easily secured two terms.

Stop being a hater. It doesnt look good on you. Stop giving Trump so much power and influence over your life. Be free to be you. Hating doesnt make you relevant or important. It just makes you annoying. The only people who care about what you have to say, are other haters. Birds of a feather.

I am not saying he should be given a free pass, nor should we ignore his own dangerous rhetoric. But we should not be playing his game by his rules. Our irrational outrage only pleases his supporters. It only emboldens them to be more polarized.

Fuck Trump. Find your own way of Making America Great Again.
