Realize the Realism of Reality
When I say Hillary is realistic, she is grounded in reality. Her platform is “Obama did good, and I can do better.” Her platform hasn’t changed much since 2008, and we now have hindsight to compare what both Obama and Hillary laid out then, to where we are now. What she criticized about Obama then, turned out to be mostly true, especially for his first term. And the points she’s making make more sense after we tried Obama’s way for eight years. I genuinely would like to see her way this time around. Not that it’s status quo. But because it makes more sense compared to what we just went through, and just seems more tangible than what Sanders is envisioning.
But Bernie Sanders?
I have always had a great respect for Senator Sanders. Congress needs more genuine people like him. I love his spirit. But I am not voting for the person I like most. I am voting for the person most qualified for the job that needs to be done. And a huge part of that job is coming up with a workable plan. Another part is having the seasoned experience and insight needed to successfully make that plan work successfully. For those reasons, I voted for Hillary Rodham Clinton. In fact, I mailed my ballot in weeks ago, like many of my fellow supporters.
The rest of you in the remaining primaries, VOTE. Please. I don’t care if you want to vote for Bernie. If you support him, get out and vote for him. Or vote for Hillary, like me. Just VOTE. This time, it matters.
