Me, I get nervous when we throw down the gauntlet with religion. That also means that, in a nation of so-called freedoms and liberties, we are drawing a line in the sand, to separate us from them. The KKK feel anointed by Christ Himself in their mission of racial purity. Even Hitler was a selfish god, the deity of his own religion. We stood united under God through the brutally vicious and bloody Crusades. The history of the UK is fraught with bloody violence between Protestants and Catholics, even though they read the same Bible, worship the same little baby Jesus. In fact, right now, we use the name of Christ to subhumanize gay rights.
Religion was never meant to influences what a man thinks. It’s only to help guide how one feels. There is nothing bigoted about the love of Jesus Christ. Despite whatever opinions the Apostles may have scribbled down, Jesus Himself has consistently preached to love everybody. If we could simply acknowledge that one obvious truth, no one would ever have to die for his beliefs anymore.
It is a betrayal of faith to believe that we should ever have to kill for our God when our own Christ, with all his faith and magic, bravely chose instead to self-sacrifice. Yet, we have violently killed so many for the glory of a man who would never hurt a fly. Has Lucifer really got us THAT ass-backward?
