There are no colored lines to take sides on. This is purely the division between the just and the unjust. Do not be baited into the race war. Do not allow yourself to get played. If you see this as race, then you are mistaking a lot of good people as enemies, when in fact, they should be considered your allies.
The media wants a race war. The unjust want to spill blood. Violence in the streets equals a ratings bonanza, and an advertising windfall. They don’t want you to realize just how profitable their greed is. There is fast cash to be made from turning good people against good cops. We will all tune in to watch the world crumble down, and corporate sponsors will pay top dollar to flash countless ads while we are glued to our screens. There is no profit motive for peace.
The two white cops executed today are not enemies of blacks. No more than John Crawford was an enemy of whites. A senseless death is a senseless death. Regardless of color.
Want to make the corrupt pay? Boycott WalMart. Take money straight out of their pockets, dry up their registers. And tell them we don’t feel safe, we don’t feel welcome in their place of business. See how quickly a multibillion-dollar corporation will throw its legal team into high gear to restore our faith in the retail giant. Let them take the police to court for executing one of their customers in broad daylight.
As long as we react violently, we are simply making the rich richer. They sell the weapons and gear to police departments to get them ready for war. They provoke us with relentless headlines about police brutality. They want us angry, they want us outraged. Just like those undercover cops who try to turn a peaceful protest into a looter’s riot.
We are NOT animals. We are people. We are citizens. We not only have rights, we have dignity. We cannot fight corruption with more corruption. We cannot return hate for hate. We cannot find justice by creating more injustice. Retribution is not justice. Justice is justice. If we want civil rights, we must stand against anarchy and contrast it with our version of civility. We must show our best at a time that they are showing their worst. We cannot win by becoming like our enemy. America doesn’t have to be just another Animal Farm.
