Technically, homosexuality is a sin. Repent or go to hell is pretty fair Biblical exposition. However, that message applies to ALL sinners. Even us Bible-thumping breeders.
Personally, I don’t think Jesus has a problem with gays. He took in a murderous criminal as an Apostle. He washed the feet of a whore. He broke bread with his betrayer. He had a heart-to-heart with Lucifer himself. Jesus turned his cheek to many things the Old Testament condemned. He was even tried, convicted, and executed for it, by his own fellow Jews who were clinging to the Old School (while still selling themselves out to the rich and powerful Roman empire). And in fairness, homophobia is NOT a Commandment.
So why on earth would I expect Jesus Christ to damn the gays? He loved and accepted damn near everyone else. Has he ever gone on record as a queer basher?
A Florida pastor has defended a church sign that offended his community by warning that LGBT people would “go to hell” if they did not repent.Pastor Gene Youngblood of the First Conservative Baptist Church in Mandarin told WKMG that he was exercising his right to free speech when he recently put up the words “Homosexuals repent or go to hell” on the church’s sign.
